In this concept, I reflect on how digital technologies, statistics and traditions can be combined. We know that there is a graph with data at the heart of any analytics. I took the most basic version of the statistical graph and reproduced it in the company’s gradients. Having scaled the graph in several iterations, I first got a basic pattern, and then a full-fledged original digital carpet. With its intricate pattern, the result refers to the patterns on the traditional clothes of the peoples of Central Asia called itak. Thus, I emphasize the geography of the bank through the traditions of its peoples in the prism of digital content. The final part of making the key visual was blurring the digital pattern through a special filter. This way I obtained an interesting visual effect. Diffusive mixing of colors creates a stunning tie-dye pattern.

The graph is replicated in the company’s gradients. It can both multiply itself by tiling space (going into a fractal) and grow in the normal statistical surface. Such long stripes can become a substantive branding element. I wanted to show with this graphic technique the ability of the bank to be present at both micro and macro levels.

The Eurasian Development Bank asked to create a clothing collection that would meet the principles of sustainable development of the company. The design had to support the traditional cultures of the participating countries and refer to their origins. As a result of the study, a traditional Asian pattern was chosen as one of the visual bases – itak. I gave it a new vision through the prism of statistical graphs. Such an extraordinary fusion of man-made traditional and modern digital objects has led to amazing results. A limited collection of 6 SKU (about 1,000 T-shirts, sweatshirts, bags) was sold out within a month.
